DSTV Pro Installers ("we", "us", "our") operates the website dstvproinstallers.co.za and provides accredited DSTV installation and related services across Gauteng. We take the privacy of our customers and website visitors seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are

DSTV Pro Installers is an independent accredited installer operating in Gauteng. We are the responsible party for any personal information collected through this website or through direct contact with our booking team. What information we collect

We only collect the information we need in order to quote you, arrange a site visit, complete an installation, and follow up after the job. That typically includes your name, phone number, WhatsApp number if different, email address, the suburb and street address where work is required, and a short description of what you need (for example, "new Explora install on a double-storey face-brick home in Bedfordview"). If you pay by EFT, your bank may pass your reference details through to us, but we do not store card or banking credentials on our systems.

How we use your information

Your details are used to give you an accurate quote, schedule a technician, communicate about the booking (reminders, arrival time, change of plan), invoice you after the work is done, and handle any warranty or follow-up queries. We may also use your suburb and the service you booked in anonymised form to track which areas and services are most in demand so we can plan our routes better.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your details to anyone. The only third parties that touch your information are the tools we use to run the business: our SMS and WhatsApp gateway for booking confirmations, our email provider for automated reminders, and our accounting software for invoicing. Each of these has its own POPIA-compliant controls in place. We may also share limited details with MultiChoice where accreditation audits require proof of a completed job.

How long we keep it

Quote requests that don't convert to a booking are deleted after 90 days. Booking records are kept for seven years to meet SARS record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your information earlier than that, and we will do so unless we are legally required to retain it.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it if it's wrong, to ask us to stop contacting you, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you think we've mishandled your data. Email the address above to exercise any of these rights and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses basic analytics cookies to count visits and understand which pages are useful. No personally identifiable information is tied to those cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without losing access to any part of the site.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will always reflect the latest version. Material changes will be flagged on our homepage for at least 30 days.
