Extra View is what you need when the family is at war over the remote — rugby in the lounge, cooking shows in the main bedroom, kids' channels in the kids' room. One subscription, multiple rooms, each with its own decoder and its own channel at the same time. The tricky part is the cabling, which in Gauteng's mix of double-storey face-brick homes, old thatch roofs, and poured-concrete Centurion flats rarely goes to plan without a proper plan.

Common questions
How many rooms can I add to a single Extra View subscription?+
MultiChoice currently allows up to three extra decoders on one Premium subscription, for a total of four screens. Each extra decoder pays a small monthly add-on fee.
Do I need another Explora for each room?+
Not at all. You can pair an Explora in the lounge with HD decoders in the other rooms, which is usually the cheapest route. We'll recommend the mix on site.
Can the cable be hidden on face-brick or does it have to run along the wall?+
On face-brick we chase into the mortar joints and repoint afterwards — the run ends up almost invisible. We can also go through the roof void on a single-storey home, which avoids touching external walls altogether.
Typical pricing
Extra View installations start at R1,850 per additional room when the primary dish and Smart LNB are already in place. A multi-room install with new hardware typically runs R4,500-R7,500 all-in.
