Lost signal after wind, storms or building work? We re-align and re-peak your DSTV dish to Intelsat 20 for perfect signal quality.
Most signal problems in Gauteng are alignment problems. The dish either was never set properly in the first place or has drifted over the years thanks to thunderstorms, a gardener's ladder, a cat, or the building settling. You notice it in two ways — small tile drops on ordinary viewing, and full signal loss the moment the first drops of a Highveld storm arrive. Neither is acceptable, and neither needs a new dish or a new decoder to fix.
We re-align hundreds of dishes a year across Centurion, Bedfordview, Randburg, and the Pretoria East cluster. The job itself is short — forty-five minutes to an hour in most cases — but it has to be done with a proper calibrated meter, not by eyeballing it or trusting the on-screen reading. We target a signal quality of 90 percent or better, which gives you a 10-15 percent margin for weather before the picture starts to go. Cheap alignment jobs that leave you at 70 percent feel fine in clear weather and fall apart the first time a storm rolls in off the Magaliesberg.

We align DSTV dishes across Sandton, Centurion, Moreleta Park, Fourways and 24 other Gauteng suburbs — and we carry calibrated meters rather than trusting the decoder's on-screen reading.
For Southgate residents we offer Southgate DSTV installer service; Fourways bookings go through Fourways DSTV specialists.

If the error message is E48 or the signal quality in the decoder's menu is below 85%, it's almost certainly alignment. We'll diagnose for free on a standard call-out.
You can, but the on-screen meter lags by a second or two and doesn't show the fine differences that matter. A calibrated meter lets us find the true peak, which is why our alignments hold up through thunderstorms that knock out self-aligned dishes.
Around an hour on a standard single-storey home. Double-storey or tricky roof access can push it to 90 minutes.
Typical pricing
Standard dish alignments are R650 including the call-out. LNB replacement if needed adds R450. We don't charge extra for double-storey access unless the roof needs scaffolding.
